Young Creative Writers Empowerment
Inability to write and creatively express the practice of art has been a major challenge in historically disadvantaged communities, due to lack of access to arts information and available resources. Therefore We have implemented Young Creative Writers Empowerment programme which aims to develop young creative writers' ability to write novels, dramas, folktales and poems. We host literature workshops in disadvantaged communities and also grant opportunities to most promising young writers by getting their rough work edited by professionals and published without incurring any cost. The program is co-ordinated by Nkoana P Raphala (Youth Mentor & Professional Educator) and facilitated by Jones Makwela (Artistic Director at Never Again Production, Author & Professional Educator). Program is proudly sponsored by National Arts Council of South Africa. PLEASE CLICK HERE to participate in our 2021 Young Creative Writers Empowerment. The programme will be online and venue based in Zebediela. The Closing date is 20 August 2021
Youth in Arts and Culture Action Workshop (YACAW)
Youth in Arts and Culture Action Workshop Programme is a collective, national youth network founded after the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) ran Social cohesion dialogue workshops in all provinces. We therefore, came together as youth to form this masterclass programme whereby we share creative ideas or views that can rebuild our cultural heritage and contribute towards sustainable art development in our historically disadvantaged communities. YACAW will allow young people to discover and understand layers and intensity as well as depth behind the works of world-class Creatives. The participants of YACAW will become pioneers in technical areas of cultural heritage and be able to reflect upon our history, improvement and how creativity of united nation can build an exciting future. The programme is coordinated by Mr Thabang Tjale and proudly sponsored by Department of Sports, Arts and Culture. Baswa Le Bokgone Public Art Jamboree (BALBO PAJ)
Baswa Le Bokgone Public Art Jamboree (BALBO PAJ) is a newly, genuinely unique and creative public art project to be implemented in the rural areas of Zebediela cluster in Limpopo Province on April 2021, which will consist of Youth Art Talk, public performances, art murals and multimedia productions. Youth Art Talk (YAT) is a creative strategy aiming at finding new ways for visual artists and curators to meet other new artists and share the practice, in supportive and critically engaged environment. We aim to engage youth in our innovative public performance preparation as it has been one of our advocacy and strategies of broadening consumption of the arts, especially by the black African elite. These youth will be granted an opportunity to express their heartwarming expression of South Africa heritage, art and economic impact in the industry through the Youth Art Talk and public performances. The program is coordinated by Mr Nkoana Raphala and proudly sponsored by National Arts Council of South Africa.
